ZERO1 is excited to be organizing two panel discussions at Art Market this year:

Friday, May 16th at 11:30am
 - Body of Work: Women Artists Talk Tech
Although women remain a minority in executive and engineering positions in the tech industry, the reality is that female artists have long been using technological tools to create strong bodies of work in a variety of mediums that play with ideas of authorship and expand dialogue beyond the male-centric stereotypes associated with Silicon Valley. This panel is a multi-generational discussion featuring artists Paula Levine, Ranu Mukherjee, Jenny Odell, and Camille Utterback and moderated by Jaime Austin, Curator and Director of Programs at ZERO1.

Saturday, May 17th 11:30am
 - New Directions: Media Art in the Bay Area
.
The San Francisco Bay Area is famous as a hotbed for new ideas. This is true in the arts as well as the tech sector. Join artists, curators, and collectors for a lively discussion exploring new directions in media art practice, and how they are shaping the way art is made, presented, and collected throughout the Bay Area. Panelists include new media artist Ken Goldberg, and Assistant Curator of Media Arts at SFMOMA, Tanya Zimbardo. This panel is moderated by Jaime Austin, Curator and Director of Programs at ZERO1.
